We educate based on respect and trust

At Dog’s Life we work with a positive education methodology, based on communication, empathy and respect for the dog’s well-being. Our goal is to help each family build a healthy and balanced relationship with their canine companion, fostering trust and mutual understanding.

What is modern dog education?

Modern dog training leaves behind traditional methods based on correction or punishment. We focus on techniques that reinforce desired behaviors, improve the dog’s emotional management, and promote positive coexistence with people and other animals.

Each dog is different, and that is why we adapt the sessions according to their needs, their environment and their life stage.

Types of sessions available

We offer different formats so you can choose the one that best suits you and your dog:

  • Individual sessions
Ideal for working on specific cases such as fears, insecurities or problems with coexistence. We focus exclusively on you, at home or in our space.
  • Group Sessions
Perfect for dogs who need to improve social skills with other dogs and people. In a safe and controlled environment, we work on communication and stimulus management.
  • Thematic workshops
One-off activities on specific topics (such as walking without stretching, frustration management, smell games, etc.), which combine theory and practice in small groups.

Going out for a walk

Attention:

  1. Start with the dog on a leash, and the prizes hidden (in a bag, not in the hand), in a space with low distractions.
  2. The student expects the dog to offer eye contact.
  3. The moment the dog makes eye contact, click and give a reward.
  4. At first, you can only expect attention for a second or so, but as the dog improves, you can wait a little longer for sustained attention, before marking and rewarding.

Know their name

  1. The first step is when the dog looks at the student, we have to say the dog’s name and click & reward. This is how the dog understands an association between the name and rewards.
  2. As the dog begins to understand the connection between its name and the treats, we will say its name without looking and, when the dog responds by looking, we will click & prize.
  3. Gradually repeat this training in places with distractions.
